Paintings of Ennis High teacher Leah Lawless Smith on display

The paintings of Ennis High School art teacher Leah Lawless Smith are on display now through the month of April 2021 at the Glenn’s Warehouse Carpets Cultural Center in Downtown Waxahachie.

The local artist who’s painted for the last six years and taught art for Ennis I.S.D. for eleven years gravitates to the subject matter of cars, portraits, and religious subjects.

The works on display in the untitled solo show are acrylic on canvas cropped versions of an image with patterns and bright colors.

The show is the first for the newly opened cultural center in Waxahachie.
